Maybranch Greenway

When complete, the Maybranch Greenway will provide a key north–south connection linking Fort Smith neighborhoods and community destinations to the Riverfront Trail. Designed for people of all ages and abilities, the greenway features a 10-foot-wide paved shared-use path that comfortably accommodates walking, biking, and other non-motorized travel.

An existing segment of the Maybranch Greenway is currently open at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, offering a preview of the corridor’s future potential. Construction of the greenway’s connection to the Riverfront Trail is scheduled to be completed in 2026, with additional segments planned and budgeted for 2027, further expanding Fort Smith’s growing active transportation network.
